update

Just wanted to give everyone an update. I have bought the yarn for my cat sweater! I also bought some lace wt yarn for the secret of the stole II KAL. It should be here in 3-5 bus days. I'm quite excited. I am on the leg of the toe up striped sock and about 2 repeats in the feather and fan sock. I know I am prob biting off more than I can chew but when it rains it pours!

Spiny

Before I got sick I was quite busy. I finished my Jaywalkers! I was able to work on them while waiting for Josh to skydive (which didn't happen due to the weather....) I will attempt to take pics of them today.

I went to the doctor but I am still not really sure what I am sick with. From the meds I was given it is either the common cold or flu or not. hmph! I figured I would take two day s off from work..first one to go to the doc and the second one to get used to codeine dosage. I called in to my boss yesterday to check in and she told me I was not allowed to come in today. I honestly am feeling a lot better (even though I have not eaten anything that will not upset me since sunday). To keep myself from going insane I made two potholders with some of my many balls o cotton.

Crazyness

The last few weeks have been uber crazy! We are now officially moved! We still need to unpack and organize. Knowing me it might be another year before it is completely done (hopefully not...I have been getting better) I still need to go through the stuff in the storage unit and throw more crap away as well as re pack the other crap in to rubber maid plastic totes.

Monday night was a last minute grab and move and vacuum before the cleaning service started on Tuesday. The cleaning crew (one guy....the one who owns the business) was a nice guy cut us a deal I believe and, according to Josh, did an awesome job. After our frantic moving, we went out to mexican food...mmmmmm It was a nice dinner and on the way home we ran into excitement! We spotted a car smoking and stopped to see if they needed help. There was two girls and a guy just standing there..... They did call 911. I noticed fire falling from under the car and Josh and I decided that we needed to get a fire extinguisher. He noted the CVS across the street and the other guy noted the cop in the parking lot (if he saw the cop why didn't he already get him!!!!) So we ran over there got his extinguisher and ran back as the cop followed in his car. Josh started controlling the fire (which was visible now) and another cop pulled up he ran over there got the other extinguisher. By the time the second extinguisher was empty the fire department rolled in and put it out.

I have repicked up my Jaywalkers and I have just started the foot on them! I didn't bring another project with me this week so I will work on those. I also noted there is a knitting grouping meeting tonight across the street from my work site. I think I might stop in there and see what is up.

Trying Week

Work was rough this week....lets just leave it at that.
We now have four kittens....one of them did not make it *sigh*
This weekend I will be moving more items over to the new house and hopefully cleaning the other one.
Tomorrow the Cable/Internet/Phone guy is going to show up to hook up everything.
Tonight I must go get the tv/internet thing/phone so the guy can hook it up tomorrow.
Tonight I need to go to the laundry mat and wash some clothes and bring them back here to dry.

And we're off!

We just rented a new apartment today. We only went to look and we ended up signing up for it.

The X is showing where I will be. There are ducks in that pond that I will be feeding! DUCKS!

I forgot the camera when we went to go see it so no pictures have been taken yet. Hopefully, I will remember it before we move everything in.

Well I am a grands (of cats....btw) officially now. Mage as given birth to her kittens. It happened today early in the morning.

Last night I was at work and started to think that something can not be right about the cat. Can you tell she has been on my mind. Upon further inspection of my emails and work calendar I noticed that my job (which occured the week she got out and was my reference point) was pushed back. So in fact, her nine week mark is this week!!! So she is still going to pop any time now. Those of you who have placed in dates and kitten amounts will have the same weekday this week (unless otherwise informed)

I just now like not even 5 minutes ago received my secret pal package. Luckily I was up and dressed for work (they put me on night shift for the beginning of this week and I opted to drive back to my house at night) when I heard a knock at the door. I hurried over there but the UPS guy had already put the package under the rug and was off. So I opened it and I got a wonderful clock. After much time of searching for my camera (which I am assuming Josh has stolen it for the day...) I decided to post about it and hang it up. It has a white background and green letters that say : See Sandy Knit.

EEEE! Thank you very much my not so secret pal anymore!!

fyi if things are misspelled or not capitalized I am sorry I have a very crappy keyboard and will be getting a new one this weekend. Have the time the shift buttons wont work.....

Thanks giving went pretty good. Nothing burnt. The turkey was good. Athena, the youngest kitten, stole a piece of Turkey!!!! Arg.

I did go shopping today. However, I did not get up at 6 am. I went out around 9 and walked around the mall and target and a few other stores. Nothing caught my eye so I did not spend anything. I then called Kelly to get some yarn, went over to her house, got scared by her, and went off to Fiber Art. I got the Fiber Trends Clog pattern I have been wanting, and then went to Joann's, evil Superstore Joann's, to pick up yarn for the slippers, and a quick stop to bed bath and beyond.

I started the fuzzy feet for my sister but put that on the side and I gave in and started the clog pattern! So far so good. Pics to come!

sweater weather?

Eileen you have inspired me. I am thinking about knitting my first(!!!) sweater. I was thinking about Colette Pullover from the new interweave knits. As many of you might know, when I try something new I don't go for the simple no possibe screwing it up. So this has TWO colors AND steeking. Josh looked at the picture last night and liked it a lot. And then said you should make it. I think I might wait until after xmas when I put away all the gifts I have not finished.

I am thinking that Mage will have 3 kittens by Thanksgiving. Anyone want to take a guess about how many kittens or when she will be having them? There might be something in for you. I have yet to decide *evil grin*

Mage of the Mange

Well Mage has yet to give birth to the kittens. Tuesday will be the start date of 9 weeks (I know that she was out 9 weeks ago Tuesday...earliest possible day) Monday (maybe Tuesday) I will be out of town. We will see how things progress. I have felt the kittens move today. I am guessing at least three.

well this has been one long month. I am currently at work (day shift instead of night shift). The word around the block is that I might be doing this part of next week. We will have to see how it plays out. I am a little further on the irish hiking scarf for my bro in law. The goal is to get that done before xmas for him. I had to buy an extra ball of the bernat satin for it. If/When I get it done I will post a picture of it.

This weekend I will attempt to post a bunch of pictures that I have been neglecting on my camera for sometime now. Now I must attempt to stay awake for a few more hours until I can get this done and get back to MY house with MY cats and MY stupid shark dog. (I considered calling him sharkie there but I did not want to get him confused with sharkie the sharkfish that has passed on)
